Head Chef – UK Visa Sponsorship

The role:

An exciting opportunity to join a small, independently owned restaurant in the town centre of Wokingham. This family run business has flourished over the years, expanding, and developing their food offering and gaining loyal support by the locals.

Experience required

  • 2 years minimum head chef experience
  • First class cuisine and high-volume kitchen experience
  • Restaurant and functions experience
  • Running a kitchen
  • Designing menus
  • Sourcing suppliers
  • Training, developing and motivating the team
  • Highly motivated leader and passionate professional
  • Knowledge and understanding of fresh and seasonal produce.
  • Banqueting experience up to 100 covers

About the Role of Head Chef:

  • With a brigade of 7 chefs, you will be catering for the brasserie restaurant and small function facilities. The menus are modern British, and everything is prepared from fresh, seasonal produce.
  • The successful candidate will assist the directors of the business with the day to day running of the kitchen designing the menus, sourcing suppliers, training, developing, and motivating the team. Chalk are always looking to develop the business further and will offer their full support to any suggestions or ideas that you bring to the table.
  • Due to the excellent reputation for superb food and premium drinks, Chalk is an extremely busy establishment; so previous experience of cooking first class cuisine, in a high-volume kitchen will be essential.
